Documented tradition · Modern granules · Refillable ritual

Formulas with a real lineage.
A dose that does something.
An object worth keeping.

Buena Vie is built on traditional Chinese medicine—not a grab-bag of trendy ingredients. Every formula begins with a documented source, a coherent structure, and a reason each herb is there.

One ritual for every season
of the good life.

Composed,
not mixed.

Classical formulas follow a structure called jun chen zuo shi (君臣佐使): sovereign, minister, assistant, and envoy. One herb addresses the main pattern. Others reinforce it, handle secondary needs, moderate its edges, and harmonize the whole.

That is why Buena Vie talks about formulas—not isolated actives. The relationship between the herbs is the medicine’s architecture.

The formula

Each product is rooted in a coherent system of medicine and explained ingredient by ingredient.

02

The object

A warm metal caddy and one saturated tassel—beautiful enough to stay out, designed to be refilled.

03

The ritual

Heat the water. Stir. Wait. Drink. The ten minutes are part of what we make.

Buena Vie carries the surname of co-founder and formulation lead Natalie Vie.

An Olympic-level épée fencer, sculptor, poet, and student in formal traditional Chinese medicine training, Natalie brings the same grammar to formulas that she brings to sculpture: material, proportion, hierarchy, and the effect of changing one part of a whole.

The goal is not to reinvent Chinese herbal medicine. The formulas are already good. The work is to carry them across—with enough design to invite people in and enough specificity to earn their trust.
